This pocket guide covers – selection of probes, knobology and image optimisation, how to describe ultrasound images and lesions, plus major organ differential diagnoses lists for the liver, gall bladder, spleen, and kidney with reference tables for gastrointestinal tract thickness and size of kidneys, adrenal glands and pancreas. The most needed knowledge at your fingertips! Sources of information used in the guide are referenced and these references are available on request from the author.
All in the size of your scrub top pocket (A6 – 10x14cm) or can be attached near to your ultrasound machine so you have it as an easy reference guide. Consists of 6 double sided, heavy duty plastic cards, giving 11 pages of clinically relevant information, which are held by a metal ring.
This guide is durable and waterproof, designed for everyday use in clinical environments. I have tested these printed plastic cards and they are almost indestructible! I’ve tried all the cleaning products, spirit, scrubbing and dropping from waist height onto concrete and they survived. I don’t recommend you do this to your pocket guides (I don’t take responsibility for damage) but you can be rest assured that these are tough enough to withstand every day in a veterinary practice!
I only have a limited number of these guides but if they prove popular, I will get more printed so let me know if you’d like one and there are none left.
